Write poetry inspired by the natural world depicted in beautiful representational oil paintings, by local artists.
This workshop is led by Paul Canon-Harris a wonderful local poet, writer and broadcaster, as featured on BBC Radio Two. The venue is an Classical Art Atelier, housed in a beautiful Edwardian house. They have produced a small exhibition of land/seascapes in oils by local artists enabling you to explore this symbiotic relationship between poetry, art and nature.
This workshop is for anyone, beginners and established bards welcome. Aims:
To guide you with structure and technique
Supporting you to listen to that deep poetic voice
Experince writting in a unique and creative enviroment
Write and recite poems
This is part of the Bournemouth Emerging Arts Feastival and the day finishes with a live oil painting demonstration with poetry recital. Light lunch included.
